Past Experience
Talking the truth, I do not have a lot experiences about being a FlyFF GM. I have helped my friend with his not-so-popular private server for like a week or so before he shut the server down (lol), but that's all about it with itself FlyFF's GM job. I've been following FlyFF GM's work in King FlyFF and I believe that I know well what kind of tasks being a GM on FlyFF includes.
Other than FlyFF, I've been an admin at two different huge forums, been an admin to many websites needing to interact with the users daily. I'm still sometimes temporarily helping some finnish hobby organization's new head-admin and so keeping all the time contact with different people.
Even tho I haven't been myself a real GM (not counting that one week helping a friend), I know a bunch of people who have. By talking to those people and by my own curiousness + will to learn about the game I keep playing daily, I've succeeded to learn bunch of those GM commands even from Caali times. I've even learned most of the v14 commands on my own without a real need to use them - at least not yet.
I'd take itself playing the game as some kind of an experience too, seeing a GM should know something about the game aswell. As a player I've probably done everything what people just have been able to do after version 11 got released, not only in the pserver but also in eFlyFF, so I do know how stuff like sieges, Aminus runs and such work.
Why do I want to be a GM?
Think this the same reason gets repeated almost in every APP, but I have a strong will to get to help other players around. It's possible to answer questions and help players as a normal player aswell, like I've somehow tried to do, but I do have a lot of free time which I could share trying to be even more helpful around. For me being a GM isn't just helping players, I see it as helping a whole server and other GMs in their job tasks, helping the whole community. I am very willing to take responsibility over whatever I should as a GM.
Since I said I have a lot spare time around, I do mean that. I am online mostly at times when I don't see any other GMs on due to my timezone, so I'd be possibly filling the spots where GMs are needed in-game. Seeing that even tho I'm living in European time, I do have as a bad habit to stay up for long (some friends even keep joking that I don't sleep at all!) so I'm also pretty easy to contact with whenever it's needed without depending on the timezone, that way able to help almost always when needed.
What would I change about King FlyFF if I was able to?
Got to admit, I already am very happy with what all we already have in KingFlyFF.
Recently I've heard a lot of talk about balancing the classes, since some of them (such as billposters) have gotten so overpowered. Knowing that there have already been plans on this subject, would be interesting to bring up my own ideas and help to make them work if things start to get changed soon.
Also what comes to the events that a lot of players keep wanting, I'd like to improve even more different events to keep at times – still seems like most of the players are missing the old, normal events what have became mostly forgotten by now. I wish to bring them back into the game a bit – not loads tho, since I do not like to host events daily, otherwise it gets too boring for everyone to have them too often. Other than that, even in my old GM app from some time ago at old forums I was already thinking something new for Heros to do since things like Super Bosses (CW, Red Meteonyker..) and Aminus are getting quite boring.
I'd be always there to listen all the suggestions aswell. Even if only as a GM I can not do/change alone much, I would develop and bring forward all the ideas that seem useful!
How long have I been playing
Counting my whole time with FlyFF I've played now for 1 year and around 5-6 months. Most of my FlyFF-time I've played on eFlyFF, testing a lot of private servers back then when finally just thought of staying in eFlyFF – which did not come true. Reaching a HERO in eFlyFF brought the boredomness, since I weren't able to do a lot knowing our guild had already too much bored ringmasters around.
After a bunch of drama I left eFlyFF and joined KingFlyFF, which has became like a new home for me after eFlyFF – I log on often, daily, and spend most of my time online in the game, xat and/or MSN with my KF-friends. KF I joined 29th Jan in this year, so not too long time ago, but I also do know already that I'm not leaving this server in a long while unless something forces me to.
About Me
So yeah, I'm such a normal girl from Finland. I have a lot of patience even with annoying persons and I'm trying to trust everyone having their better sides, which sometimes makes people to either hate me for being too friendly or like me for that. I don't like to cause arguments myself, always willing to apologise if I see that I've done something wrong.
Along with being friendly, I can be pretty blunt aswell if needed. Most of my friends don't see that side of me since I keep acting all nice to them, but I learned from being an admin at so many places that GM job isn't anything if you can't be any blunt towards the players/users who keep asking for the same stuff repeatedly or who just do not understand when they're being told nicely. I often don't lose my patience and I don't start to flame back at people even if they're yelling to me – mainly I don't even care even if I'm getting dissed at 'cause lol, you can't please everyone.
At the moment in real life I'm not going to school or I do not have a job with reasons, that's why I have so much time to do other stuff in my life. I am not all the time on PC either, since I do have my dogs (more in extra info) and other stuff to work on to get forward in my life. :3
Extra Information
As said, I don't have a real job at the moment but I basically work with dogs all the time. I train obedience, agility, dog dancing and such with the two of my Smooth Collies. "Sidejob" for me has always been working as a dogsitter, taking care and training other people's dogs aswell.
I like writing, sorry for that.. Probably wrote a bit too much once again, yet if you still want to know some more, feel free to ask.
Oh, one more thing.. Like all the other people making GM apps seem to be OVERLORD-guildies, I'm not. I'm from ah-so-hated III. ;D
